New Year’s resolutions

New Year’s resolutions

Have you heard people talking about their New Year’s Resolution yet? I have to admit, this is one of my biggest pet peeves. A lot of people talk about diets, and then count potato salad as being healthy, because it has potatoes in it.

I am not sure about you, but to me, it is not a diet, it is a lifestyle. The New Year to me is not about making a resolution. Bettering myself, not just for a week or two, is a life time commitment.

I made the decision 7 years ago to better my health, and went from 198 pounds to 140. I am still working on bettering myself, and find it just normal to count my calories, and exercise every morning. To me, it has become a way of life.

I think the people who take it as a lifestyle choice, not a diet, are the ones who succeed. They are the ones that reach their goals. I think this can be said about anything. Those who put their minds on their goal, and let nothing stand in their way are the ones who obtain what they are after.

One Response to “New Year’s resolutions”

  • Ah yes it’s that time of year to make our resolution. Although I try everyday to make even a small goal this New Years will be a huge resolution and commitment for me. I won’t tell you what it is, call it superstition or just plain silliness, but I won’t share it with you. But I am assuring you and your readers that making a resolution is very easy to do. Keeping it however is the hard part. I wish all of you good luck in all of your personal resolutions this year. Be well and enjoy your New Years!!!
